Following graduation from Winter Park, David attended Indian River and Daytona Beach Community Colleges before moving on to the University of Florida and Auburn.

David passed on his swimming expertise as the assistant swim coach for Father Lopez High School and Daytona Beach Community College, and until recently he was with the Team Orlando Masters Swim Team.

David lives in Winter Park with his wife Kathy, son Matthew, and dog Maxx.  Currently, he is working with Orlando Food Partners at the Amway Arena doing backstage catering in addition to running his own yard service.
