Corey was a versatile athlete and played a key role on two of Winter Park High School’s most accomplished football and basketball teams. During his senior year, he led both teams to the state Final Four.
Corey was a 3-year letterman and starter on the Wildcat football team, starting out as a
tight end and adding defensive end to the list during his senior year. During his junior year, he was awarded All-County and led the team in receiving yards and touchdowns. During his senior year, playing both ways as a defensive end and tight end, he was awarded All-County, All-Central Florida, 1st team All-State, Orange County Defensive Player of the Year, and top 60 college prospects in Florida by the Orlando Sentinel. He was awarded team MVP and was captain of the WPHS football team that won Metro, District, and Regionals.
Corey also played forward for the WPHS basketball team and was a 2-year letterman. During his senior year the team won Metro, District, and Regionals and was the state runner-up.
After graduating from WPHS, Corey attend UCF on a full athletic scholarship. He started his first game and remained a starting player all four years. He lettered four times and was a key player on the school’s first ever Conference USA championship team, which took them to the Liberty Bowl in Memphis, Tennessee.
Corey graduated early with a BA in communications from UCF and is currently finishing his Masters in business administration there. He is working as the marketing director for an international law firm and has also started his own internet marketing company. Corey and his family are lifetime Wildcats and fans of WPHS athletics. He is grateful to have had the support of both his parents and the WPHS family throughout his athletic career.
